"I visited almost all Ethiopia and my last travel was with an excellent guide, Habtie Birara, and there was good drivers too. Habtie Birara was my guide three weeks in Erta-ale, Dalol, with afars and caravans/salt; after, we were in South to meet almost all tribes; he was helpful guide and secure and everybody was friendly.
Habti Birara is very honesty, punctual, loyalty, and knowledgeable; he knows everything in ethiopia and like too much his country. He made too treks in Simien mountain (he is born there).

The views are breathtaking. The air is fresh and sweet. The people are friendly and welcoming. Our guide Habtie Birara (simentreks.com) was very knowledgable of the area(he is from the Simien Mts), the wildlife, and the history. Habtie made sure our trek was easy, fun, safe, and amazing. We experienced excellent views of Lammergeier with their magnificent wingspans 2.31–2.83 m (7.6–9.3 ft) and the geladas as they peacefully ate thyme and did their thing. I'll also never forget hearing the beautiful songs of two young girls who walked by us singing and welcoming us. One of them, we later saw singing at the edge of the cliff singing to the valley below. I highly recommend the Simien Mountains and Habtie Birara.

In general the history of Ethiopia is divided into three parts: ancient – medieval – modern (starting from the early unification of the country i.e. 1855)
Gondar was the capital city of Ethiopia for more than 300 years during the medieval period until the 17th century. It was founded by Emperor Fasiledes at a most challenging time of the civil war,
The civil war was between Gragi Mehammed, helped by Ottoman Turkey, and the Christian kingdom who was helped by Portugal who asked in return to convert the Ethiopian church to Catholic. This brought a great civil war between the royal family and the people against the imported faith.
The civil war ended with the restoration of Ethiopia.
